ARABAKP Phnom Penh, October 28, 2026 --
National flag carrier Air Cambodia has officially been awarded the prestigious 4-Star Airline rating by Skytrax, the international air transport research and rating organisation.
This benchmark recognition marks a major milestone in the airline’s ongoing drive to align its service standards and operational performance with those of world-class international carriers, the airline said in a press release issued on Oct. 28.
A central highlight of the Skytrax audit report was the standout performance of Air Cambodia’s frontline personnel. Auditors noted that customer service staff consistently exceeded 4-star benchmarks, citing exceptional warmth, proactive engagement, and tailored communication designed around individual passenger needs.
Skytrax ratings are widely recognised as a global benchmark for aviation service excellence, evaluating airport and cabin facilities, service consistency, and the overall passenger experience. With this accreditation, Air Cambodia joins an elite tier of internationally renowned carriers, including Air France, Emirates, Lufthansa, Air Canada, China Southern Airlines, and Vietnam Airlines.
The recognition reflects a period of accelerated growth and operational maturity for the airline, a transformation captured by two pivotal milestones: the deployment of senior flight instructors to build technical capability, and the attainment of global 4-star status.
"Securing a 4-Star Skytrax rating is both an honour and a platform for our next phase of growth," the airline stated.
By pairing rigorous international benchmarks, such as the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) and Skytrax service audits, with authentic Khmer hospitality, Air Cambodia continues to embed traditional warmth, regional cuisine, and personalised care into every stage of the journey.
"We extend our deepest gratitude to our passengers for their trust, our partners for their continued collaboration, and our staff for their dedication. Moving forward, we remain focused on refining every detail of the passenger experience to ensure international excellence remains at the heart of every flight."
Air Cambodia is preparing for the upcoming arrival of its initial C909 fleet alongside the scheduled integration of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
The fleet expansion will optimise the airline's network footprint, open key regional routes, and enhance global connectivity to support Cambodia’s expanding trade, tourism, and economic relations.
